Assessments of Quality in 2010/11

The Care Quality Commission went through a consultation process earlier this year on its proposals for the assessment of quality for health and adult social care in 2010/11. The consultation provided a high level overview of their planned approach to carrying out periodic reviews and special reviews and studies, and how the Commission planed to publish information about this work. In light of the responses to this consultation, the abolition of the Comprehensive Area Assessment and the proposals for change within the Government's white paper the Commission has now published its confirmed approach for 2010/11.
